Many congratulations to Mrs Mechelle Claxton, who received the Benemerenti Medal from Bishop David
Last week, Mechelle Claxton, the Strategic SENDCo for Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Academies Trust, received the Benemerenti Medal from Bishop David.
The Benemerenti Medal is a medal awarded by the Pope to members of the clergy and laity for service to the Catholic Church. Originally established as an award for soldiers in the Papal Army, it is now a civil decoration.
It is a wonderful gesture of thanks for all the work Mrs Claxton has done in service of the Catholic community over many years.
